Ways to deal with multiple drawings of parts on one drawing

We are looking for advice on easy ways to deal in Factory Master when there are different issue numbers between the drawing and the part. We have a customer with a master drawing with multiple parts on the drawing.

  1. Create different Drawing records for each of the drawings on the main drawing.

  2. Use the same filing reference for each and make that reference the main drawing

Now the sub drawings can be version controlled and also found through the reference to the main drawing.
