The SFDC disconnects after eight hours of inactivity, this is to free up resources on the server.
If you are a MyDesk/FactoryMaster 2.0 customer, all users will have a default inactivity timer of three hours. If you would like to extend this timeout please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.

SFDC terminal keeps timing out
The issue is our SFDC terminal keeps logging out of the server overnight / over weekends and displays an error message saying it's been disconnected from the server due to inactivity.
