Removing batch numbers

Is there a way to remove batch numbers when booking goods into stock? This is a feature that we do not use and causes a lot of confusion when doing the stocktake.

Please complete the following steps to remove batch numbers from specific parts:

  1. Select the Stock menu.

  2. Then Stocked Parts Menu

  3. Then Stocked Parts

  4. In the Quick bar search for the stock part in question or hit enter to list all parts

  5. Press F5 to zoom into the relevant part.

  6. Then click the arrow in the 'Traceable part' column.

  7. On the drop-down menu select No.

  8. The part is no longer traceable therefore will no longer have a 'Batch number'.

You can remove all batch numbers from the system, but if you use the below method, you will not be able to revert back to using batch numbers, which has caused some customers issues in the past:

  1. Select Options

  2. Select System Maintenance

  3. Select System Settings

  4. Then Stock System Settings

  5. Then Batch Creating Options

  6. Press Crtl + M to modify

  7. We will enter the password to change the options to not auto generate.
