Using manufacturing route revisions

I would like to use the revision control section in manufacturing routes, but it is greyed out. How do I activate and use this?

To enable the manufacturing route control feature, you will first need to switch on the control flag ROUTE_REVISION_CONTROL.

  1. Click on Options

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose GENERAL System Settings

  5. Click on Control File

  6. Search for ROUTE_REVISION_CONTROL

  7. Set this to Yes

Once you have set this, you will now have access to the revisions section. When you change a route from this point on it will ask you the following:

  1. Do you want to increment the revision number for this route?If you choose Yes you will then have two further options:

    1. Increment by 0.01

    2. Increment by 1.00

  2. Do you want to increment the issue number of this operation from 1 to 2?


If you select Yes to either question, then the change will appear on the revision log
