How to update Planned Unit Cost for Job Costing

I have noticed that the planned unit cost on several parts is showing as £0.00. How can I update this?

To update your Planned Unit Cost on a Works Order please do the following:

  1. Click Production

  2. Click Works Order Enquiry

  3. Search for your Works Order number

  4. Click View Components

  5. Click on the 'Details' radio button

  6. There will be a column with a orange header, by default it will read 'Associated Reject Number'. Click this header and select 'Planned Unit Cost'

  7. Press Ctrl + M to enter modify mode. You MUST be in modify mode before moving onto the next step.

  8. Press F5 on the unit cost which needs updating

  9. If the Current Standard Cost price is £0.00 this means that the Standard Cost field is empty and will need to be inputted.

  10. If there is a price, click Update Planned Cost and click Close

The planned cost price will now be updated.
