Overview

If you need to change the SQL backup location due to running out of space on the C:\ drive, the steps below can help you do that.

How to change the SQL backup location

To change the SQL backup location, please follow the steps below:

  1. Right-Click the FactoryMaster icon and click Open file location.

  2. Go back two directories, which should take you to the 'FMAST10' or 'FMAST11' folder.

  3. Open the Customer folder.

  4. Create a copy of the 'FMSetup' file.

  5. Open the original FMSetup file.

  6. Directly beneath the '[BACKUP]' line, after 'DATPath=' input your new file path. For example, the entire line would read - 'DATPath=C:\NewFolderLocation\SubNewFolderLocation\'.

  7. Save the changes.

The SQL backup location should now have changed to allow you more space on the C:\drive.
