Overview

If you are trying to log into the Cloud account or trying to reset your password, the following error message appears:

Error: Invalid User Name

or

You are required to enrol to use this service. Please click "Cancel" to exit. Log in and enrol. This article can help provide you with the next steps on what to do next.

What does this error mean?

This error implies that the system cannot recognise the username entered, or you have not been enrolled.

Please ensure that you have entered the username correctly and have not accidentally used the user's full name or included a typo. The username here should not include the CLOUD\ part and should be something like "FM1234A.Smith".

If the username is definitely correct, then it is likely that the user has simply not enrolled in self-serve yet. This, in turn, means that they will not be able to reset their password.

Need further help?

If your password has already expired or you have forgotten it, then you will not be able to log in and enrol yourself, and Support will need to do this for you. Please contact support, referencing the title of this article, and the username and email address linked to the account.
