Error - The connection to Access Dimensions could not be established

I have recently moved server and now i am receiving 'The connection to Access Dimensions could not be established' error message when exporting sales orders to Dimensions.

This error occurs when the link to the Dimensions SQL database has been removed. You can check the link by doing the following:

  1. Click on Options

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose General System Settings

  5. Click Accounting Package Details

  6. Click Manage Connections

  7. Click Test

If you receive this error message "Linked server connection has been removed" you will need to create a new link, you can do this by:

  1. Click on Options

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose General System Settings

  5. Click Accounting Package Details

  6. Click Manage Connections

  7. Press F4 to create a New Connection

  8. Click on Create

  9. Enter in the Dimensions SQL Server Name, Server Login and Server Password

  10. Click Create

  11. Click Close
