Error - 'Named pipes provider could not open a connection to SQL server'

I cannot use the application anymore. It is completely frozen with the error:- : Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL server [2].

Your FactoryMaster SQL service will need to be restarted. This can be found on the server that hosts your FactoryMaster database. This service cannot be restarted from the client PC. If the server is held offsite, please contact your IT or relevant database administrator who can restart this service. All users will need to be out of FactoryMaster before actioning this process. Please complete the following steps:

  1. Search for Services in the windows search and click on it when it comes up

  2. Scroll down the list until you find the SQL Server (FMAST) Service. Note: The portion in the brackets will be whatever your FactoryMaster server is called, FMAST is only the default

  3. Press Restart in the pane to the left on the list.
