Changing the default Stock Location for a part

When booking in Stock i would like it to go into a default location, how can I change this?

To change the default Stock Location for a part, please do the following:

  1. Click Stock then click Stocked Parts.

  2. Click F6 on your part number.

  3. Enter Modify Mode by pressing Ctrl + M.

  4. Click on the 'Receipt/Iss Location' field and and press F5.

  5. Select the Location you want the default location to be and click OK.

Note: Zooming into Receipt/Issue location takes you to the Location Maintenance where you can specify whether Stock Available, it is a kitting location, Stocked Parts, Raw Materials. Receipt location is the default location for when stock is booked in. Issue location is the default location for when stock is issued out to fulfil a works order.
