How to make a part Default As Free Issue

I need to make a part free issue before I add it to a BOM and not sure how to action this.

To make a part Default As Free Issue, please use the following simple steps:

  1. Navigate to Stock

  2. Click on Stocked Parts Menu

  3. Open Stocked Parts Maintenance

  4. Once open, click on Detail

  5. Enter Modify mode - this can by done by pressing CTRL + M

  6. Once in Modify mode, move your cursor along to Default as Free Issue

  7. Click in the box and choose Yes in the drop down menu

Your stocked part is now ready to be added into your BOM as a free issue. Once you have added the part as a Free Issue it will automatically have a zero standard cost, any standard costs you run with the part included will come up with a notification informing you that any Free Issue parts will not be included in the run.
