Overview

If you have set up the label printer to print the Goods In labels, and FactoryMaster would only print to that printer, even if you change the printer settings. If you have managed to sort this out, but are finding the labels are getting smaller and smaller, please follow the advice below:

What is causing this issue, and how do I fix it?

This issue is normally caused by "scaling," or the setting that shrinks or stretches the label to fit the size of your paper. For example, for a 2x7" label printed from a thermal label printer, the paper size should be at least 2x7".

To set Label Dimensions in Your Printer Settings:

  1. Select your label printer and click Manage

  2. Select Printer properties

  3. Select Preferences

  4. In the preferences menu, go to paper size and make sure the selected size matches the label dimensions

Additional Information

πŸ“ŒNote: We are not responsible for adding new labels to Dymo label printers. We expect it to be similar to creating a custom paper size from Windows.

Please liaise with Dymo support to get the relevant label format added, by passing them over these steps below:

  1. Launch Control Panel, Devices and Printers or Settings, Printers & Scanners

  2. Select the relevant Printer

  3. Select Print Server Properties on the toolbar above the printers or from Related Settings on the right-hand side

  4. Select the Forms tab

  5. Click Create a New Form checkbox

  6. Enter the Width and Height

  7. Click OK

πŸ€“Tip: If the labels are not reaching the printer, restart the printer server, which will clear the printer spooler.
