Overview

When recording the raw material against an assembly for example:

Part AAA is made up from the raw material XXX, YYY and ZZZ.

If all you can see is how to record how many parts of AAA have been made, and want to know how to record what raw materials have been scrapped, the below information can advise you further.

How do I record how to record what raw materials have been scrapped, and is this possible?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to complete an internal reject against components; they are only done against the top-level part.
Supplier rejects are done when the supplier has made a mistake.

Unfortunately, there is no other method to complete this.

The extra components, required to replace the scrapped ones, can be added to the Assembly on the WO. In this way, the costs will be captured.
