Error - 'version number is not a valid floating point value'

When loading up the application, I keep getting the error message that says 'version number' is not a valid floating point value

This can be overcome using the following steps on the affected computer:

  1. Click Start

  2. Search for and click Control Panel

  3. If your control panel layout is set to View By Category, click Clock and Region, then click Region. If it is set to Small or Large Icons, click Region

  4. Click Additional Settings

  5. Check the Decimal Symbol field is set to '.' decimal point

Note: You may have to realigning the language and region settings to the same language, if the above does not fix the issue.
