Error - 'cannot find AcroRd32.exe'

For help with an error message being seen when trying to print PDF documents from the route card.

Overview

When trying to print PDF documents from the route card, you may see the following error generated:-

Opening Acrobat window....

Cannot find AcroRd32.exe.

Please ensure that the acrobat reader is installed on this machine before running this program


What does this mean, and how can it be fixed?

This is a local environment issue. I would advise liaising with your IT department.

Running ClientSetup.exe or repairing the Adobe Reader DC installation does not resolve the issue.

πŸ€“Tip: Deleting the following key may resolve the issue:- deleted the key AcroRd32.exe from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options
