Overview
If you have set your default printer in FactoryMaster, but are finding that each morning the redirected number is different, which is causing the default printer to not be detected and needs resetting, the following information can help advise you further.
What causes this to happen?
When default printers are set in FactoryMaster, the application is setting the exact printer's name, including the '(Redirected x) as a string. This means that it is looking for the exact printer's name.
In the hosted environment, redirected numbers are assigned to printers as identifiers and will be different per user. This is to identify which user has sent the print request.
What can be done next?
Unfortunately, the redirected section of the printer's name cannot be removed or suppressed due to group policies enforced on the server.
