Both these issues are caused by control flag settings.
One of them is TIMEREC_COMP_JOBS_IN_ORDER which forces operators to log on to operations that are In Progress/Not started so that the work is done sequentially - as such, operators cannot skip the rework operation once it is added.
The second control flag is TIMEREC_BOOK_QTY_IN_ORDER which stops users from logging onto an operation if the previous one has no quantity against it or you're trying to book in a quantity more than what was on the previous operation. Looking at the Restrictions/Constraints of this control flag, it advises against using it with rework or with adding in additional operations as it can cause difficulties.
As such, we advise setting these control flags to No when doing rework.
Rework process difficulties in Data Capture
When going through the rework process in Data Capture we encounter some difficulties, such as production being stopped until the stock that needs rework is completed or error: You cannot book in more than was booked in on the previous operation
