It is possible within Factory Master to create quotes to send to customers. The prices for these can be typed in manually or they can be built using the 'Calculated Unit Cost' function. The override price is the manually entered price. To raise a quote, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Sales, and then Quote Maintenance

  2. Press F4 to create a new quote

  3. The user will need to enter the following mandatory information for the quote: Quote Planned, Quote Required By, Customer/Prospect and Planner

  4. There are further optional fields: Contact, Position, Customer's Reference, Quote Discount, Project Code, Region and Notes

  5. Type in the Part Number required or press F5 to choose it from your Stocked Parts list

  6. To enter a manual price click into the Effective Unit Price column and type the amount in the Override Price field

  7. To build a price from part costs, the click into the Calculated Unit Cost column and press F5

  8. From here there are three options: Create a blank quote sheet, Import data from a previous quote, template or route and Copy a quote from a previous part number.
