The time and attendance module is working as designed. When a clocking is made, the system applies logic to determine which shift the clocking belongs to. In most cases, the shift date will be the same as the 'clocking date'. However, this is not always the case when night shifts are involved. One of the rules the system applies is:
β
"If nothing is yet recorded on the clocking date and the previous shift was a night shift - and we're clocking in before the expected end of that night shift then assign the clocking to that previous shift."
β
The rule is needed to deal with cases where the employee is late for their night shift and clocks in after midnight. The 'scheduled times' of the previous shift have then been edited so they do not show a night shift. To prevent this situation from occurring again you will need to apply expected changes from 'night' to 'day' shifts in advance i.e. before the employee clocks in the following day.
FactoryMaster: Overtime clocking in and out times are not capturing properly
I have noticed that overtime hours, i.e. clock in/out times, were not captured properly and displaying in the T&A Authorisation screen.
