Error - 'Cannot find license file'

Overview

If you are receiving the following error when trying to go back into FactoryMaster after a power cut or installing the application on a new PC:

'Cannot find license file'

Or the PC has been PAT tested, and you now receive the error when trying to launch the application. The advice below should help to resolve this.

What to do next

If you are encountering this error on your PC, then you need to run Client Setup on the affected clients.

📌Note: Open file location may point to the local root directory (e.g. C:\ProgramData\FMCLIENT123) when you right-click the FM desktop shortcut. In this situation, find the correct server file path to the FMAST folder and copy and paste it into the target field of the FM shortcut properties. You will then be able to run the client setup.
