Overview

If you get an error message similar to the one shown below once every couple of weeks or more, and as a result, it kicks you out of the application:-

This error message is triggered by the size of the LiveErrorLog.log file. The steps below should help to prevent the error from recurring.

How to stop the error from recurring

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. In the filepath search for '%ProgramData%.

  3. Open the FMClient,FMASTxx folder.

  4. Look for your LiveErrorLog file; it will look like the following: LiveErrorLog_JBLOGGS.log.

  5. Delete the file.

  6. When FactoryMaster is next opened, the file will be recreated.

This hasn't helped to resolve the issue

If this does not resolve the issue, check the Firewall Exceptions List has been adhered to on the SQL server.

The following may need adding to the global exceptions list:-

  • The SQL Server process

  • The SQL Browser process

  • The Magic XPA

  • The ClientLoader processes.

  • Add the MagicXPA DLLs due to some sort of graphics-related issue causing the problem, and many of the loaded DLLs are GUI-related.

If you are using a Server Cluster which moves users onto different servers depending on server traffic. When you have narrowed the issue down to a specific server, please contact your third-party IT, as this is an environmental issue.
