How to tell the system when to auto issue stock to Works Orders

Is there a way to have the stock auto issue to the Works Order when the Purchase Order is booked in? How can I choose when stock is auto issued to a works order?

There is a control flag in FactoryMaster that specifies how the auto issue function works. Do the following steps:.

  1. Click on Options

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose General System Settings

  5. Click on Control File

  6. Search for 'AUTO_ISSUE_TO_W/O

The control flag gives you four different options that you can set it as, these are:

  1. Never - This will stop auto issuing completely

  2. P/O Only - Auto Issues the stock when the Purchase Order is booked in (Note: Will only work when a P/O is linked to a W/O)

  3. W/O Complete Only - Will only auto issue once the works order has been booked in

  4. Both - Will auto issue on both options 2 and 3

To auto-issue stock when a Works Order is created, please do the following:

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose General System Settings

  5. Click on Control File

  6. Search for 'AUTO_ISSUE_TYPE'

  7. Click Select

  8. In the drop down menu for the control flag, click 'WO Created'

Now go the assembly of one of your top level parts and make sure that each of the parts has an Issue Location set up.

  1. To do this press F6 on the part number to open the Stocked Part Summary screen

  2. Under 'Iss Location' enter in a stock location where the stock can be auto-issued from.

Also, check all the relevant components/assemblies have AI ticked:

  1. Tick Assembly to launch Assembly Maintenance (from stock summary window)

  2. Tick AI check box for the relevant components to activate Auto Issue from.

  3. Click All for all components to auto issue.
