Error - 'A broker is logged out' system status message

For help with an error message that is occurring when logging in, and underneath job costing is up-to-date, and last recorded back up.

Overview

When logging into the application, underneath job costing, is up to date and last recorded backup, you may find the following message displays as below:

'A broker is logged out'

What does this error mean, and how can it be fixed?

The system will check any user of type 'Broker' or 'Scheduled programs' and if they exist but are not logged in, the message will be seen.

From the server, log in to FactoryMaster and complete the following steps:

  1. Click the message A broker is logged out to see the broker status window.

  2. The user logon will display e.g. BROKER.

  3. Select File.

  4. Select Change User.

  5. Enter BROKER and click login.

  6. When the red window says connection validated, the broker is logged back in and operational.

Additionally, restarting the FMBrokerService on the server should be tried.
