Overview
This is caused by the auto number being set to a number above the max for the document. For example, a task number can have 5 digits (00001), so if you set the task number in auto numbers to have 6 digits (100001), then FactoryMaster will not be able to populate it with a number, so it will use asterisks.
How to access auto numbers to change them.
To access auto numbers to change them to a valid digit amount, follow the steps outlined below:
Click on Options.
Click on System Maintenance.
Go to System Settings.
Choose GENERAL System Settings.
Click on Auto Numbers.
Press Ctrl+M to go into modify mode.
Under the correct auto number flag (In our example, it would be CRM_LOG_NUMBER, change the number to one which meets the maximum digits for that document.
