What's new
Welcome to the release notes for FactoryMaster v20.32. This version contains some great new features and enhancements, helping you to get the most from your software.
The following major features are included in this release.
GENERAL
SAGE Integration 2026 (v33)
FactoryMaster has been updated to integrate with SAGE Line 50 2026 (v33).
Note: This integration is available via Direct Integration and is supported exclusively for on-premise customers.
SALES
Stage Payment Enhancements
The 'stage payment' checkbox on a sales order call-off has been replaced with a 'button' to allow easier access to the payment stages. The button will be captioned 'Create', 'Edit' or 'View' depending on the status of the stages.
When the stages are first created, the current total value of the call-off will be carried onto the 'create stage payments' screen.
It is now possible to define 'stage payment templates' which can be applied when creating the stages for a call-off.
Each customer can optionally have a default template defined against it. These can be assigned manually, or via the Import Manager and Transaction Broker.
A new control flag — 'STAGE_PAY_LAST_BEFORE_DEL' — has been added which allows the FINAL payment stage to be selected for invoicing even if the call-off has not been fully delivered.
When copying a sales order, a new option has been added to copy the 'payment stages' from the source order to the new order. This option is only available if 'prices' are also copied from the source order.
PURCHASE
Supplier Approval Enhancements
'Supplier Approval Templates' can now be defined, consisting of a number of 'checklist items' which must be confirmed before a supplier's status can be set to 'approved'.
Each supplier can optionally be associated with one 'approval template'.
Where a template is associated with a supplier, the 'Set as Approved' and 'Set as Customer Approved' buttons will be disabled until all questions from the specified template have been confirmed. The screen shown when the ‘Update’ button is pressed will look as follows:
Documents can be attached to each 'checklist item', and each checklist item can have its own 'expiry date'.
Note: The 'History' table on the approval tab now shows the 'current' approval record as well as previous ones.
A new user view — 'vFM_SUPPLIER_APPROVAL_CHECKLIST' — has been added to show the checklist items associated with each approval.
Purchase Order Entry
When manually creating a purchase order for a specific supplier, the 'Supplier Code' and 'Order Number' fields are now entered on the first screen shown rather than the second.
Purchase Item User Defined Fields
Two new 'user defined' numeric fields and two new 'user defined' text fields have been added at 'purchase order item' level.
These have been added to the 'vFM_PURCHASE_ORDER_DETAIL' user view and can be imported into the system via the Import Manager or Transaction Broker.
A new 'Update Existing Purchase Item' import and broker type has been added to allow these — and a number of additional fields — to be updated.
STOCK
Stocked Part Batches User Field 4
An additional user field — 'User Field 4' — has been added at stocked part batch level.
The field is available on relevant views, imports and Transaction Broker types.
Transaction Broker Type: FM-BATUP
A new Transaction Broker type 'FM-BATUP' has been added to allow updating of associated information on existing stock batches.
PRODUCTION
Works Order Creation Options
A new option has been added to the 'Production System Settings' menu in 'System Maintenance' to allow the 'works order header' user defined codes to be entered when a new works order is MANUALLY created.
If required, the user can be FORCED to enter one or more of the codes before the works order is created.
Workshop Group Codes
Workshop codes can now be entered into 'workshop groups' to allow the route cards of multiple workshop codes to be printed at the same time.
QUALITY
Works Order Completion Performance / Scrap PPM
These screens now allow works orders to be ranged on any of the three 'works order header' user defined codes (if enabled).
MOBILE SCANNER - FactoryMaster 2.0
Move Kit To WIP Locations
A new option has been added to the mobile scanner to allow stock on 'works order kits' to be moved to 'WIP' locations.
A location can be set as 'WIP' either manually or via the Import Manager / Transaction Broker.
Once WIP locations are set up, the scanner user has the option to move kitted stock into the WIP location.
If WIP locations are enabled, it is also now possible to specify at workshop level whether 'works order kits' can ONLY be confirmed once they are in a WIP location.
Picklist & Works Order Kitlist Confirmation Screens
These screens now allow the user to click on the displayed 'Part Number' to toggle it to show the 'Product Description' instead. Each user's last selection will be remembered for the next time they access the screen.
Print Stock Batch Labels
The 'Quantity To Show On Label' and 'Number Of Labels' fields now default in the same way as in the main FactoryMaster system — that is, according to the settings in the 'Stock System Settings' menu.
