What's new
Welcome to the release notes for FactoryMaster v20.31. This version contains some great new features and enhancements, helping you to get the most from your software.
The following major features are included in this release.
SYSTEM
Valuation Snapshots
'Stock' valuation snapshots can now be produced at either 'Part Number' or 'Batch' level - as well as the previously available 'Nominal' level.
'WIP' valuation snapshots can now be produced at either 'Part Number' or 'Works Order' level - as well as the previously available 'Nominal' level.
A default can be set up in the ‘Valuation Snapshot Settings’ screen.
This new summary level choice can be selected when creating a new snapshot manually - and when setting up the snapshots to be produced via 'Scheduled Programs'.
Note: Before running a snapshot please ensure Job Costing is up to date
On NEW snapshots it is now possible to click on a cost total to see it broken down into 'Hours Costs', 'Material Costs', 'Subcontract Costs' and 'Other Costs'.
The report export also shows the cost breakdown on new snapshots, split into 'Hours Costs', 'Material Costs', 'Subcontract Costs' and 'Other Costs'.
The user view 'vFM_VALUATION_SNAPSHOT' has been updated to show the new fields.
Note that ALL snapshot types will be summarised at 'Valuation Code' level when they are posted into either 'Access Financials' or 'Access Dimensions'.
STOCK
Standard Cost Calculations
'Standard Cost Calculations' can now be run via 'Scheduled Programs'.
Recalculated costs can either be automatically applied - or left to be reviewed and applied later.
In either case the run is 'saved' so any errors can be identified and corrected.
To allow for this - ALL standard cost calculations are now saved - and a new maintenance screen has been created to allow them to be viewed and actioned. Users with the new 'Delete' access to 'Standard Costs' are able to delete runs.
The previous 'Calculated Costs' and 'Updated' screens have been combined into one to allow selected items to be updated - whilst allowing the remaining ones to be reviewed and/or corrected and updated later.
