Creating a task for a stocked part

How can I create a task for a stocked part?

There are two ways which you can create a task for a stocked part.

​Through Task Maintenance

  1. Click on the word Tasks on the Main menu located below the Sales menu

  2. Press F4 to create a new task

  3. Select the radio button for Part Number

  4. Enter the part number in the field that generates

  5. Press OK

  6. The new task window appears, please enter the following information

    1. Task description

    2. Action required

    3. Action due

    4. User/User Group

    5. Priority

The task will now appear in the chosen users task inbox

​Through Stocked Parts

  1. Click on Stock Menu

  2. Choose Stocked Parts Menu

  3. Select Stocked Parts

  4. Search for the part you would like the task to be for

  5. Choose the General tab

  6. On the far right of the window is a column called 'Task log', click in it and press F5

  7. Repeat step 6 from the first section.
