FactoryMaster: The Quantity Made on a Works Order is larger than the initial Required Quantity

Items booked into a works order do not match the initial required quantity. We appear to have booked in 53 extra parts, how did this happen?

If the Quantity Made on a Works Order is larger than the initial Required Quantity, this might be caused by a double book in of the items. It is possible that a FactoryMaster user booked in a particular quantity via the Works Order Enquiry tab and the Data Capture user also booked in the final quantity, thus producing a higher value. To check the booked in values, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Stock tab.

  2. Select the Stocked Parts Menu.

  3. Click on Stocked Part Maintenance.

  4. Identify the part with the incorrect stock and press F5 into it.

  5. Check the Stock Transactions tab to see the users and the booked in quantities.

If you identify that the stock has been booked in twice, the workaround is to other Issue out the stock to the 'Booking Issue' location, to remove it from being available in the system.
