There are 4 things within FactoryMaster that need to be set to allow the user to receive tool calibration expiry notifications.

1 – Under ‘User Access’

  1. Navigate to the Options menu.

  2. Click on User Access.

  3. The user needs to be set up correctly under ‘Message Preferences’.

Note: ensure the tick is there for the relevant user.

2) ‘System Message Recipients’ for the ‘Tool Calibration Expiry’ needs to show the correct/relevant users on the list.

To get to this:

  1. Go to the Options menu.

  2. Click on the System Maintenance option.

  3. Select System Settings.

  4. Finally, select the System Message Recipients.

3) The control flag ’’TOOL_CHECK_TIME’’ needs to be set. The value is set to the number of months.

  1. Go to the Options menu.

  2. Click on the System Maintenance option.

  3. Select System Settings.

  4. Click on General System Settings.

  5. Finally, select the Control File.

4) Also ‘Scheduled Programs’ - which when set up, this will run a check in idle mode on the main screen of FactoryMaster on or around the date and time. When it does it will check for those tools which require calibration / or are due to expire and a message will be sent to the users in the list (as detailed in point 2 above).

To get to this:

  1. Go to the Options menu.

  2. Click on the System Maintenance option.

  3. Select Scheduled Programs.

  4. Ensure ‘Tools Calibration Expiry Check’ is added to the list on the left (the user may need to click on the ‘Add’ button to add this).

Then once worked through the above 4 points the notification messages should be sent.
