If your WIP report is showing different values for the material that is actually assigned to the Works Order, then the chances are that you will need to update your job costing. This can be done using the link at the bottom of the main menu.
There will be a warning that says "The job costing of ## works orders need to be calculated" in red font and underlined. Click this and it will update job costing.
Run the WIP report again and it will be accurate.
