An assembly component is a material that is required to make an object. For example, say a works order has arrived for a bike. The wheel is the works order component, and the wheel spike is the assembly component.
When you press F5 after selecting an assembly component row from the MRP transactions window in Factory Master, you will see the materials required to fulfil the assembly.
📌Note: Sometimes a value will appear in the "Quantity In" column for a component which may look odd, but it represents where an earlier demand on a sales order for that component is cancelled out by a later supply.
Now that we understand the assembly component type, we can move the required date for works orders forward and purchase orders at the top of the MRP transactions list are deleted, to prevent unnecessary assembly components from being created.
