How to change serial numbers

Allocate serial numbers to works orders and change the serial numbers cannot change serial number from Allocate Serial Numbers window

Please complete the following steps:

  1. Follow the Menu Path: Stock > Stocked Parts Menu > Serial Number Maintenance

  2. Find the serial number you wish to change and highlight it.

  3. Click Change Serial Number

  4. Enter your new serial number (Note: You cannot change to a duplicate serial number)

A prompt appears asking if you are sure you wish to change the serial number and also reminds you that you will need to reprint any documentation featuring the old serial number.
