We checked from FactoryMaster version 11.19 and the output from Rough Cut Capacity Planning and Sales Order book have always produced the same output.

The Rough Cut Capacity Planning process takes the Setup Time for every Operation plus the Operation Time for every Operation multiplied by the Minimum Manufacturing Economic Batch Quantity (EBQ) as set on the Stocked Part Record. It allows you to approximate the working hours required to produce your product in the volume required and references outstanding orders to provide a breakdown by day of the hours required to meet demand.

Navigate to the Production tab and select Rough Cut Capacity Planning
Before these reports can be run the Standard Hours menu option needs to be run to calculate the Standard Hours for all or selected parts.

Once completed the Rough Cut Capacity Planning option can be run and will export or print a detailed report detailing the 'Date of Manufacture', 'Part Number', 'Stock Description' and 'Standard Hours'.
A summary report can also be run providing information linking the number of Call Offs and Total Standard Hours to the date required.

It should be noted the Rough Cut Capacity Planning feature does not take into account any existing stock or scheduling that has been set up. It provides approximate values for the Total Standard Hours sold by Month.

An idea has been raised to enhance the Rough Cut Capacity Planning output via the FactoryMaster ideas portal. Please vote for this idea and our Product and Development teams will assess this idea for future implementations of Factory Master.
