Document number showing as asterisks

My task numbers are showing as **** My quote numbers are showing as just asterisks

This is caused by the auto number being set to a number above the max for the document for example a task number can have 5 digits (00001), so if you set the task number in auto numbers to have 6 digits (100001) then FactoryMaster will not be able to populate with a number so will use asterisks.

To access auto numbers to change it to a valid digit amount, do the following:

  1. Click on Options

  2. Click on System Maintenance

  3. Go to System Settings

  4. Choose GENERAL System Settings

  5. Click on Auto Numbers

  6. Press Ctrl+M to go into modify mode

  7. Under the correct auto number flag (In our example it would be CRM_LOG_NUMBER, change the number to one which meets the maximum digits for that document.
