How do I set up email notifications when a tool has expired?

Please follow the steps below to receive tool calibration expiry notifications:

Under User Access

  1. Navigate to the Options menu

  2. Select User Access

  3. The user needs to be set up correctly under ‘Message Preferences’

📌Note: Ensure the tick is there for the relevant user.


System Message Recipients for the Tool Calibration Expiry needs to show the correct/relevant users on the list

  1. Go to the Options menu

  2. Select System Maintenance

  3. Select System Settings

  4. Finally, select the System Message Recipients


The control flag TOOL_CHECK_TIME needs to be set. The value is set to the number of months.

  1. Go to the Options menu

  2. Select System Maintenance

  3. Select System Settings

  4. Select General System Settings

  5. Select Control File


Scheduled Programs

This will run a check in idle mode on the main screen of FactoryMaster on or around the date and time. It will check for those tools which require calibration / or are due to expire, and a message will be sent to the users in the list:

  1. Go to the Options menu

  2. Select System Maintenance

  3. Select Scheduled Programs

  4. Ensure ‘Tools Calibration Expiry Check’ is added to the list on the left (you may need to click on the ‘Add’ button to add this).

Once this has all been set up, you should receive email notifications alerting you when a tool certification has expired.
