The option to send via Email is greyed out

When trying to send an invoice via email the option is greyed out, why is this?

If you email option is greyed out it is possible that the EMAIL_TYPE control flag has been reset to a blank value.

Please do the following to check and update the flag:

  1. Click Options

  2. Click System Maintenance

  3. Click System Settings

  4. Click Control File

  5. Search for 'EMAIL_TYPE' and press Enter

  6. Enter modify mode by pressing Ctrl + M

  7. In the 'Value' column set the option to either 'Generic' or 'Outlook'

  8. Click Exit

If you have recently upgraded your Outlook package from 2013 to 2016 for example, please make sure that your PC is restarted after the upgrade. If it is not restarted FactoryMaster will continue to look for the older version of Outlook which causes the email button to become greyed out.
