Error - 'Check Orchestrate database exists. An object or column name is missing or empty' following upgrade

Overview

During the upgrade error generates:

An object or column name is missing or empty. For SELECT INFO statements, verify each column has a name. For other statements, look for empty alias names. Aliases defined as "" or [] are not allowed.


What to do next

If the error generates during the data import, FactoryMaster is linked to the wrong Orchestrate database. Please complete the following steps highlighted below:-

  1. Click Options.

  2. Click System Maintenance.

  3. Click System Settings.

  4. Click Production System Settings.

  5. Click Orchestrate Connection Settings.

  6. Click Change Connection.

  7. Select the relevant server and database name.

  8. Click Connect.

  9. Now, when you select Production, Schedule Works Orders, Import from Orchestrate, the data import will complete with the correct create date.

πŸ“ŒNote: If the error generates during the upgrade, click Exit, and the upgrade will continue to completion. The error message indicates that the Orchestrate Connection setting within FactoryMaster will be reset to the default. The above steps will have to be actioned after the upgrade to reinstate the connection to the Orchestrate database.
