Setting up a data capture terminal

How do I set up FactoryMaster so it sets up as a data capture terminal?

There are two steps to the process of setting up a data capture terminal. First you need to create a data capture user. If you already have one of these, please skip to the next section.

  1. In FactoryMaster, go to Options and the User Access

  2. Press F4 to create a new user

  3. Give your user a username (e.g. shopcap1)

  4. Under 'Access Type' select Data Capture

  5. There is a tick box called 'Full Screen'. Tick this if you wish your SFDC screen to be full.


To set up an instance of FactoryMaster to load into data capture, do the following:

  1. Find the FactoryMaster folder path from your server. (e.g. E:\FactoryMaster\FMAST11)

  2. Go into the ClientSetup folder

  3. Run ClientSetup.exe

  4. Tick the 'Data Capture' box

  5. Tick Icons on Desktop: Live/Play

  6. Under FM User Name, type in the Data Capture user log in you have set up.

  7. Press Install
