This Purchase/sales Order is Currently Being Edited By Another User

This article can provide you with the steps and advice you need when you are trying to amend a Purchase Order receiving errors. This purchase order is currently being edited by another user, or This Sales order is currently being edited by another user.

Overview

When trying to amend a Purchase Order, you may be seeing an error similar to below:

This purchase order is currently being edited by another user

Or

When trying to amend a Sales Order, you may be seeing an error similar to below:

This Sales order is currently being edited by another user.

This may also occur when amending Mark Ups when updating the Sales Price List.

What causes this to happen, and how to fix it?

This is a known error within FactoryMaster that happens when editing a Purchase Order. The solution to this error is to make sure every user is logged out of the system.

  1. To do this, click Options.

  2. Then click Who’s On The System?

  3. Here you can see who is currently logged on and is therefore required to log out of the system.

  4. Click File and then click Exit System.

Now that every user is logged out, you can log back in and resume editing your Purchase Order.
